Any secrets to prying backend motors off the transmissions? stubborn motors! Should they pull right off like the front end motors?

1. Use large flat screwdriver to get the cap off.

2. Rubber mallet to the body of the stator.

Do not hit the capacitor cover!

If you have Matsu****a motors, Stahl's has a field puller that makes it super-easy and prevents bending the shaft.
Otherwise, yeah, rubber mallet taps on the stator until it pops loose.
Rubber mallet also works good for getting out little grumbles and knocks! [img]/content/btubb/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

I think I successfully bent the shaft! I don't think this motor has ever come off the transmission. I am willing to bet they never put any anti-sieze on there either. It started to come up, now its definately stuck. Hosed her down with wd40 and tried to tap it back in. won't budge!

What a pain in the butt! Should bring it home...drink some beer and then go to work on it!
