need some fancy tricks for balls spinning on lower rails-- already lowered lift as far as i can and shimmed lower rails out as far as i can. It's only happening with 15-16lb. balls and only on 1 pair of lanes.

1. Adjust your ball lift to the lowest possible height.

2. Take the spring rod and spring off and replace the spring with a front roller spring and a short piece of chain and a 3/8 turnbuckle from the hardware store....this will apply more downforce.

3. Adjust the spring tension on the ball lift to 4 inches or maybe even 3 7/8.

4. Use a scotchbrite pad on the lift belt.

also, need to see where your problem is, the belt or the rails. if the ball is rotating, but not goin up, that tells you the belts doin its job, need some traction on the rails. rosin will help immediately in the short run. ive never tried stahls big tan covers, but i have lifelongs rocket rails <<--awesome

solardani, Coors is right, if the ball is spinning you need better rail covers. You can try to flip the lower cover around but if you buy new covers, make sure they are not old models of the same.

Stahl's, Lifelong, even AMF has a new design of rail cover, just make sure you ask for it specifically.

If you try King's rig with the turnbuckle make sure you put a 1/4" eyebolt in the PBL plate.
