hi guys,
been having a lot of fun.
the head tech is out for how long who knows.
he was in a car accident the other day.
sweep rocker arm broke and there is no spare how do I get it out so it can be welded.
2nd problem pillow block strap broke on table arm that raises and lowers table,it's hanging down and that thing is heavy. how do you get it back up to replace the broken strap,do I need to take the table out.
too much fun. thanks for the help.
you need a lot of muscle to get the table back up to put the pillow block back together. the rocker arm comes out from the top of the machine after you get the rods unhooked and the pillow blocks off the rocker arm rotate the arm until it is to the back of the machine and work it til it comes out not a lot to it just takes a lil patients
On the table pillow block.....use a jack to hold up the table.
On the sweep rocker....take off the catwalk so you can get in there....you won't have to take anything off but the straps and blocks and the drive rod on each side.
Table Pillow Block: I've always found it easier to crank the table down (in spotting) and put a 2x4 under it. That allows you to move the torque tube around with very little effort. When cranking the table just make sure that it is unlatched.
well me and the other guy that's only been here two month's longer then me got the rocker arm out and welded it and got it back in and running.
but is there anyway to get the rocker arm out without having to remove the shuttle drive rod and lift the bin up and push it back out of the way and take the dist off.
we got the broken table strap changed and was putting the tools away, and they call check the table on 27 it just went crash, the bolt holding the table drive broke and it went boom.
so were working on 27 and they call blackout on 3 we look down and there is smoke rolling out of
3 so I go take a look and the c1 plug is melted with the smoke still coming out.
we get 27 back up and running, and go looking for the c1 blocks and can't find any,we did find a bunch of terminals and the other guy says there is a crimper for the terminals but we can't find that either, and a full house of league starting in about 1 hour, and the manager can't get in touch with the head tech to ask him where things are.
so I got to thinking and what I did is start cutting one wire off at a time and putting on the terminal with the needle nose and it in the c1 plug on the chassis and when I got done we turned on the wall breaker, then the machine and stood back in case the 4th of july started but it didn't and the machine even runs with no problems! got it done about 5 minutes before leaegue started.
anybody ever do a c1 plug like this before.
if the stuff keeps breaking like this with no head tech,I might just learn the machines faster then I thought, and the other guy too! :p
you've been havin an awful lot of problems there ken, wow, table strap, and a rocker arm, and a chassis, was this all the same day?? and i cant remember the other recent events, your doin a dam good job there
coors, no all this stuff didn't happen on the same day! the strap and the rocker arm broke wed afternoon, and the table drive and the c1 plug on thur afternoon.
the manager finally got in touch with the head tech and I told him what I did with the c1 plug and he got mad then he started laughing and said oh well if it's working
at least I found out where the spare blocks and stuff is now.
Can somebody give an explaniton how pins 2, 3, 6 are supposed to be connected. I had a shortcircuit there for the drive motor connection because of water leakage.
I have a distributor that is pulling the belt hard to the left in the nine pin position (and possibly 6 pin), but seems fine in the other spots. As you can see the residue and...
I have several Pin Elevators that I believe to be out of round on my XLi's and was curious if anyone has ever run across this before and is so, what you did about it.
I'm...
