I have not used them, but I was wondering how good the regular front roller support brackets work with Enviro-Bushings in them. I would think this would stop the wear problem somewhat rather than risk trying a whole new product.

I've got a few of them and love them. Just make sure that your post is clean, free of nicks and burrs, and not oblonged. This way it will ensure years of trouble-free service. I plan on ordering several more from Ed Fox soon. I'm not going back to the bronze/steel inserts anytime soon.

P.S.: I think your Caps Lock key is broken.

If you are talking about greaseless bearings I am asuming that you're using Enviro Bushings. I have them in all my front roller supports now going on three years now without any trouble. I have a friend that has had them in now for about eight years with the same results. The nice thing about them is that they allow the carpet to track properly since it has equal tension on both sides. By doing this it also makes the front roller not have to work as hard in centering the carpet. It's hard to comprehend that plastic works better than brass, but it sure does not only in the front roller but in all other applications on the machine. All I can say is, "Try it tou'll like it."

            Re: GREASELESS FRONT ROLLER HANGERS

Anyone ever tried putting antiseize where the grease is supposed to go (while rebuilding the front hinges)? I did that to one machine and it seems to work. Might be a good idea but I don't know if it would have any long-term effects (ex: seizing up).

I'm using enviro's (lubeless) in the front roller brackets and will not go back to the grease type.
