strick cycle prob
hello all, I have 8270's with ss chassis omega-tech conversion with expander card. On lane 6 about 2 or 3 times a night the bowler will get a strike, sweep drops, stike light comes on sweep runs through and the table will just sit there, first ball light is on. I have swapped the chassis and the 9 pin switch to no avail. the way i clear the stop is to run the sweep to 0 hit the ball stepper to 2nd ball and cycle the machine. It will work fine for sometimes only two frames or the rest of the night. depending on how my gremlin feels. please help thanksTags: None

Re: strick cycle prob
We have qubica and a similar problem had me pulling my hair out. Same exact situation you describe here. The trouble on my machine was a bad connection at the connectors on the 9 pin wires. Connection looked good visibly, but upon wiggling the wires I could make it stop working and start again. Ended up triming the sheathing back about an inch or 2, cutting both older slip-on connectors off, stripping both wires and crimping some new connectors on. No problems since!!

Re: strick cycle prob
Could be a bad switch or bad wiring. I had this problem last year and ended up changing the TA-2 switch. When the machine is doing what you described (sweep down waiting for pins) take one wire off the bin switch and ground it the the bin, if the machine spots pins you know the cable is good, so check the bin switch or the TA-2 switch. Grounding the bin switch by-passes the TA-2 circuit and will make the machine spot pins if the switch is bad.Give me a hammer and some duct tape and I can fix it!
