AMF Accuscore Monitor Probems

Last Tuesday on my pair of lanes both monitors went dark and never came back on. I went to the desk to see if I could get the partial scores through the "correct score" key and the message said "Scores Not Available". We also have pairs of monitors that will occasionally go off and come back on in about 30 seconds. The AMF tech support guys said this was a fail safe when too much static electricity builds up around the camera. Anyone have similar problems??

Swap the CWC into the pair to the left.

Swap the EPROM into the pair to the right.

Where the problem goes is where the bad component is.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Have you done the terminator test to see which CWC is the weak link in the chain? CWC Warm Starting could be caused by a flakey CWC elsewhere in the run.

How many CWCs in the run?
Have you tried swapping ports on the home run box?
We dump our CWCs once a month by cold starting each pair in the mornings to rid of any corrupt data residing in the CWCs.

Good procedure to dump every week. I used to do it every week, then every other week, and finally once a month. I'd love to do it every week again, but you know how it goes...too much crap to do!

I'd check out the eprom first. I've only had one go on me in my 5+ years but it did as described, both monitors would just go out. Between that and the CWC (or another bad one in the line) [img]/content/btubb/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif[/img] you should be able to fix it. I'm in Kat's boat here, I clean the LIU out and reset all the CWC's once a month as well as rebooting the system, too much to do otherwise I'd love to at least cold start the CWC's once a week. Such a busy industry this bowling business is :p
