  • 82-30 6525 chassis problem

We have a problem with a chassis when at zero the table runs all the time ?.
I have swapped the boards but the fault remained
the table control relay looks ok.
The fault remains when swapped to another lane.

Sounds like a problem with the TA to me.

        Cowbo,
The fault remains inside the chassis......
....The longer you leave it the worse it gets....

          cobow,
the fault remains in the chassis itself.

if you service a sweep why is it that lane is the first to suffer a huge sweep hit..?.

              Re: 82-30 6525 chassis problem

It could be the contacts physically stuck, check this preferably with the chasiss off the machine. Maybe its possible one of the two signal wires is getting energized?? Not sure right off the top of my head where those wires go, but it sounds like you have Omega Teks so they should be easy to trace. Let us know what you find.

                Re: 82-30 6525 chassis problem

if the cr2 contacts look o.k, swap it around with the cr3. see if the problem moves to the sweep.

haveing said that does it energise as soon as you turn on the machine, or does it fail to stop after a cycle ?

As soon as you turn the lane on i have a cont' table at zero just keeps going up and down on its own,i personly now think that the cr2 ciol has shorted ?.
I have looked at the control wires but they seem ok will check them out with continuity tester.

                    Re: 82-30 6525 chassis problem

                    Nubble,

You say you have changed the boards. Does this mean you have omega-tek conversion or 82-3000 chassis'?
Disconnect the fine wires from the contactor and this will stop the coil being energized. If the table still runs then it is the contactor that is faulty. If the table stops running then you have a low voltage control problem that is energizing the coil.
                    Hope this helps.

                    Len.
                    Regards,

                    Len.
