Weird Creative Tech chassis problem

Hi all,
I have a guy who has a Creative Tech. "82-70 ULtra Chassis" who is having a wierd problem. He has the newest AMF strike/foul board (LED's). When he shuts off the machine, the 1st ball light stays on. I plugged it into a house with an incandescent strike/foul board & it works perfectly (no 1st ball lite). Anyone run into this problem before? Who took over Creative Techs's stuff over? I think it was ZOT? Any info appreciated!

Does the CT chassis have a Elco and a C-23 plug?

Are you using one of the C-23 to Elco adaptors?

Hey Jon & JK,

Felix is correct ZOT has taken over all aspects of the Creative Tech. product line. As far for any of the Ultra Chassis' they only use C-23 connectors for the mask and scoring cables. The only time the Elco connector would be used with an adaptor would be when a five board chassis was replaced by an Ultra Chassis.

For the problem of the first ball light I will check with our engineers and post a reply in a couple of days.

Hi PJ,
Thanks for the info! The house in question is a MP house, so they have the C-23 mask connectors. I'm wondering if adding a pull up or down resistor will fix the problem. No schematic here, so I'll wait to hear from you guys to try something out. He likes the chassis except for that problem.

We discovered that problem 3 years ago and we do have a fix for it.

I will get my mechanic to post it here shortly.

Alright, switch pins 1 & 29 in the C-23 style mask plug and it should fix this problem.

Hmm, that's weird. 1 & 29 basically come off of the same point (1 off of OLL#1, 29 off of OLL#2)on the original MP chassis. BUT, I'll sure give that a try! Sure 'nuff stranger things have happened b-4. I'll post the results.
