  • Occational Spare sweeps.

Ok heres one more for yah.

82-70. b or c or somewhere in between.
AMF Accuscore, Omni boards with scorer interface.

One specific lane will occationaly sweep bowlers spare. After weeks of trying to catch it, heres what its doing.

Bowler throws 2nd ball or X
machine goes through cycle perfect until sweep returns to 0.

Ball indicator flips to 1st ball.... then immediately back to 2nd ball.

Causeing alot of Spare sets because next bowler doesnt notice indicator before throwing ball.

We have replaced AMF MIU, Chassis, and Cam micro switches.....

And since this is the Omni board the TA2 SA1 combination doesnt switch ball stepper anyway.

    Lost here too.

    Thanks JR

    Re: Occational Spare sweeps.

How much are you willing to bet it's your sweep switch.
This is the switch/lever assembly that sticks out the front of the frame and is actuated by the sweep dropping (sometimes it's an extra cam and switch on the sweep driveshaft).
Either the switch is failing or the lever is not adjusted properly. Failing those, you've got a coasting motor.

TA2 switch bad or out of adjustment.

          Re: Occational Spare sweeps.

For a short time before we went with Qubica scoring, we had BOSS scoring... it had those sweep switches hanging out off the end of the machine frame, that contacted the sweep arm when it was up.

They caused all kinds of problems when not adjusted right, and it seemed like they were constantly going out of adjustment.

I would agree... check the sweep/table camswitches with the gauge, then take a hard look at that sweep switch.
