    XOP boards suck

    I have been in this business since 1984 & these XOP boards really suck. Anyone having any GOOD luck with these freakin boards? I'm sure there are some, but damn...Also the 9860 Creative tech boards. Man O man. Gimme a AMF Mk5 board anyday....I personally believe the 1980-90 logic boards rule. Just my opinion since I gotta work on this stuff for a living...

      we had the XOP for 5 years on all 32 lanes. Have only 2 go out in that time. Love them.

        XOP's aren't too bad in the right conditions... their biggest problem is that they're a lot more sensitive to power fluctuations, surges, and static than an MK board. MKs seem to be a lot more tolerant to power problems, and are better if you're in an area that has power conditions that are a bit unpredictable.

          Yep, In the RIGHT conditions. Like a Lab! I will tell a customer "I'll buy it back if you are not satisfied" with an Omega Tek board, NO way I'll do that with anything creative tech. made.
