    Re: humpback

Yikes... that looks like either the core of the belt coming out of it, or something lodged it it.

Zip tie from rocket rails accidentally got dropped in while the belt was being made maybe?? Crazy, I haven't seen that before LOL

While this picture is up allow me to ask question.
Our 82/70s do not have the curved metal ball track
taking balls from lift down into subway. They are made of wood and straight, not curved. Have never seen these in any parts manuals, wonder if anybody else has them? Could they be from the 82/30s?

            Re: humpback

We have the same ones... as far as I know, that is the standard setup for an 82/70C ball track... steel/rubber tube ball lift rails, bare steel downtrack (also has the brackets for the ball wiper hoops in this area), then the 'transition plate' where the steel downrails meet the underlane rails.

If yours are wooden, they may have come from an older installation (30s maybe?) that was upgraded to 70's, or possibly even a 'custom' job.

Ronnie O, i know the exact set-up your talkin about, Use to have pic of it from my old house, but have misplaced. Your rails are straight and bolt at a 90 degree angle into a metal plate, which is covered by two rubber pieces. ill try my best to find that pic.

                  Re: humpback

Thats it! But you forgot to mention the stripped out allen head screws holding the rubber down. Pain in the neck to get at unless you pull the whole thing out. Ours even have the old ball boosters above the wood track, no motors on them though. Still there to keep unwary mechs from falling in since the wire mesh safety cages vanished years ago I guess. We will be finding out the humpback works with the wood track this summer, plan on putting in a few on the worst kicker pairs.
                  Thanks Coors.

I dont know how I missed that pic coors. I am not happy with the new humpy belts . Any belt they have to recomend you rub gear lube onto the v has to be a mistake.
