  • Franklin motors (front end)

In the past 6 months we have had 2 motor windings destroyed. The problem is the little weights they have in the rotor to balance it are coming out. After a few seconds of bouncing around in the cage it destroys (cuts) the winding. Anyone else having this problem?
I also have some post on the AMF forum that might be of help.

    Re: Franklin motors (front end)

Funny you should mention it. We just lost a motor this last Saturday. I guess its too much trouble to balance the rotors by removing weight rather than pressing it in, but they sure need a better system for securing the weights.
