• Omega-Tek Expander Cards

Can someone please explain to me what an Omega-Tek expander card is? Is it a card that works with the 5-board chassis or what? Also, what benefits does it offer?

It interfaces with AMF scoring to provide you with a short strike cycle and sweep reverse on a gutter ball 1st ball or 7 or 10 pickoff.

You can also eliminate the r/c wires.

I'll add... not only with AMF scoring, but with several scoring packages... using the proper (scoring company provided) adapter hardware.

It's used in the AMF "SS" Chassis... in order to use it, you will also require the Omega-Tek MK70 board, which replaces the old 5-Board system. The MK70 board can run independently of the expander if you're not using scoring... it provides all of the machine functions that the old 5-board system had. You only need the MK70EX board if you're using autoscoring.

Yes, as said by "G" and the King the MK-70 (required to use expanders with) converts a SS from 5 boards to one. Then if you add expanders it converts (how the machine acts anyway) a SS to a MP chassis (shortened cycles as long as your scoring is interfacable). We have MK-70's and expanders, great products, very reliable and lifetime warranty. Wouldn't trade em for the world
