I have had a high percentage of the lexan cups I installed break prematurely. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yup, tried a few, but they didn't survive.
So it goes.

nothin beats the clanky sparklin aluminum. all my lexans are now safely in the landfill somewhere. think the longest lasted 3 years. Always breaks arount the U-Bolt section

AMF aluminums for us, last forever. I think in my 6 years I've had 3 break within the first year (probably just defective) other than that for us they're great

In addition to all that, I have seen aluminum cups completly broken in half spot perfectly for many years....granted this was back in my pinchaser days when I worked for a Mechanic whos motto was "dont fix what aint broke" and in his opinion, if it spots, it aint broke

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Very true, I know the 5 cup on lane 55 has the top half completely gone, been like that since I started there 6 years ago. Another mechanic has been there 11 and said it was like that when he started there. It's like a novelty thing now, never drops it so we leave it as it is, our little novelty item

Negatory. The lexan cup is the bomb. Got my first one when they first came out at a trade show. It is still in the lane. Awesome cup, just dont overtorque em, thats the only way i know how to break em.

*sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

Thanks...

Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
