• Strike Cycle

I know i have posted this problem before but it is something which has been annoying me for years and i can't fix it.

82-70 with MP chassis and a few lanes have the same fault.

When a strike is bowled the machine goes through the usual cycle as if pins are standing, even to respoting them and leaving the machine on second cycle. It does however score a strike.

I have traced it back to what i think is an asp wire fault on the MP because when i remove two wires on the bottom row of the plug the fault changes. Then when a miss is bowled on first cycle, it sweeps the pins and goes to second cycle.

I have changed the wire competly and the MP chassis. Tha camera has been changed and we have even had new scoring system put in since with the fault staying.

    HEEEELLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!!

Ground the table cable and put the R/C wires back on.

      Re: Strike Cycle

Have you moved the MP board to a working lane to see if it is in the board itself? Do the grounding thing too....

          Re: Strike Cycle

if your cells close and table respots no pins then you may have a grounded cell wire in your wire way.your chassie will not score the strike, but your scoring system should.do a 8-9 SNAP on your pedistal to see the camera alignment

            Re: Strike Cycle

Check if it is a machine problem by taking the aps plug out and cycling the machine with no pins on the deck.If it spots ten pins then it knows it is a strike. If you have removed the wiring from the wireways then it should always think there are pins there, to protect the cells from spotting thro pins.Have you checked the CWC as i think you have Accuscore or do you now have Boss.or Qubica.Remember the signal is sent from the camera to the chassis via the ball trigger to start the cycle.Cams have been known to cause this as the ta2 and sb speak to each other and the sc may not be signalling to spot pins.find a pair of lanes that everything is ok on and try switching the hardware and check the cable connections carefully in case a pin is bent, or not connecting properly.Ensure, as suggested, a good ground and good luck.Laurie.Scotland

              Re: Strike Cycle

disable Pindicator in wireway, use the two yellow wires to gripper switch, and a ground. Problem solved buddy, but i have seen it occur when strange MP boards are used also.
