Re: School Bus Shuttle
That looks awsome, how long does it last before the paint starts to chip off?? When I started at the Hilton, I discovered that they painted there distributors. At first, I thought it kind of silly, but the reasoning was sound. It was designed to get people to add a personal touch to there work in an effort to increase pride in the job, and it seems to have worked. After I built a couple of these 'custom' distributors, I found how enjoyable it is, a nice break from routine. Let us know how that shuttle works out in the long haul.

Re: School Bus Shuttle
You should add bin straps to the 2,3,4, and 6. Whenever i change out a shuttle, i put straps on all except the head pin. We used to have a lot of double shuttles and i heard about that trick from the head mechanic. So i started doing it, it helped out a lot.
I also personalize all the cushions i rebuild, i would write my name, date, day of week and sometimes the temperature outside for the fun of it.If it's just a game, why do we keep score?

I also do the same with my cushions. If I know someones birthday on the date of rebuild I also wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. LOL

Re: School Bus Shuttle
That looks kinda cool... I think I like it.
We painted our machines out of necessity... after a large fire we had, all the exposed metal on the machines began to rust and corrode. It was late fall, damp and cold to begin with, and with all the water in the building and no heat for several weeks until we got power and gas back up, it really started to rust things up.
Paint saved us from a more serious disaster... we were able to catch and stop the rusting/corroding in it's tracks, and took a lot of load off our shoulders in getting thing back up and running.
Albeit we went with colors that weren't quite as eye-popping , but it does make the machinery a lot nicer to look at, and a heck of a lot easier to clean.Educatio est omnium efficacissima forma rebellionis
