  • dump on humpys

I have had it with the humpys.A humpy I replaced back in june split today.I was upfront eating lunch and heard that dreaded noise FLAP FLAP FLAP. the new belts they send you just dont work JR says its the machine not adj properly if thats so why was the belt I replaced on this pair of lanes in there since 2001 I cannot see spending $250.00 everytime these belts break and life long says the have a 10 yr warranty which they never honored.Iam switching back to PBL`s and throwing that worthless crap in the trash if I had a dollar for every humpy I Replaced id be a millionare. I had it with this system when i had to dig a upper pully assy out of the subway when 1 of these belts broke and shot the pully assy in the subway.. JR cannot tell me about adjustemnts i have been a mechanic for 13 yrs and have never had to change a lift belt til humpys were installed in my center bad mistake. Re: dump on humpys

I have always defended the Humpback system and JR.

At this time I do not want to drop ship belts and have them mold humps on them.

Lifelong has made belts that last.

Some belts will fail in a system like this.....and they need to do as good as they can.

They need to make belts NOW.

              Re: dump on humpys

I saw Tom Stahl the other day and I believe they have found a molder that can make a belt that is newly designed and better. We will wait and see.
Yeah but, We've always done it that way.

Has anyone purchased one of the Stahls humpbacks?

                How does it compare?

                How much does it cost?

                  Re: dump on humpys

Like I've said before, I normally just hump them out the door to the garbage and install PBL's.
