  • Spotting problem

82-70's. The machine cycles fine for the first ball. When it goes to sweep the deck after the second ball, as the sweep reaches the back of the pin deck the table sets a rack on top of the sweep. I have changed chassis, replaced a couple of bad pins in the c1 & c2. I checked and adjusted all the sweep and table cam switches, but to no avail. The only thing that I can think of is that I maybe have a bad sweep cam switch. I will check that Tommorow. Any other ideas or suggestions would be helpfull.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Check SB Cam Levers &amp; Microswitch. SB is responsible for stopping sweep at 66 and initiating spot cycle (fires S relay) at 186. Ensure your gap is set correctly at the cams lowest straight dwell first. Then rotate cam weldment to obtain proper stop at 66.

The problem you are describing is common of over adjusting by using the lever screw to fine tune stop positions. As such, it also throws the secondary functions of the cams "off" a little.

Right. If SC N.C. malfunctions (closes)after the sweep goes to zero, then at the next cycle it will begin a run-through after the time delay and meet the table at the tail plank.
