    Re: rack

i would guess same as otto's prob only opposite. either the TDA spring is missing from beneath the white nylon roller part. or you have a broken roll pin

      Re: rack

thats usualy the roll pin in item 16 the pink roll pin there.if thats broke it will cause the table to slam down on top of the pins..and trigger the off spot switch

If you have a machine with two solenoids you might have a problem with the respot solenoid.

          Re: rack

Yup, the pink roll pin in item #15 usually shatters or snaps causing the latch to float on the eccentric disc allowing the table to long stroke when detecting pins. Look into this problem as you will soon be replacing a bent or broken yoke if you don't.

That roll pin is a very common problem on 70s.

            Re: rack

Dont forget the obvious ones. The carb link on your spot latch might be too short, halfass spotting and respotting at the same time. No return spring on your solenoid will do the same thing.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">carb = carbohydrate or carburetor, but I think the latter is implied. I could be wrong, since monkey likes his tacos loaded with carbs. :p

Or carb as in 'carb'orator, a 'carb'orator link is a nick name for the ball style latch system which in older times was used to connect the throttle cable to the 'carb'orator.....or mybe I am mistaken.

also check table position and yoke settings. if cups hit top of pins, does sweep clear the deck or do you have to return the sweep to zero as an off spot.if you have automatic sweep reverse is the deadwood left on the pindeck.
