All year round I do different projects to my machines. We are not a super busy center, so I can do a lot more than other mechanics.
Anyways, tonight I did a "NEW" project. I decited to pull off all my upper ball lift yoke assemblies.(only two at a time) I cleaned yoke and pulley, and lubed inside of yoke and ball lift tube(where yoke mounts). Most of them came off pretty easy but I had a couple that were stuck.
Yes, I could of shot grease inside of zert fitting on yoke but I thought I could clean shaft and spring also. I did all 12 in about 3 1/2 hours. I didnt take long and now I have piece of mind that the yokes are well protected with red sticky grease.
Just thought I would share.
