Re: Carpet Belts
Vantage Premiums are the best for me. Have some running for over 10 years and look to have 10 to go.
Vantage softs are ok, but seem will eventually tear after about 5 years
AMF Platinum, good looking carpet, tho new, time will tell
AMF green, my nemisis. paper thin, easy to install and all, but sneeze too hard around it and it tears.
all other carpets seem to have the eventual curling at the ball exit, not allowing light balls to enter.
Just my $.01

Re: Carpet Belts
I agree with Coors on all. Except I'd like to add: AMF Pumpkin Orange=junk. Tuff to install and hold light balls."Where are we going, and why are we in a hand basket?"

Re: Carpet Belts
I love the thin green AMF carpet, they are so easy to install and have no problems with light balls. Ive never had a problem with 'em tearing - I might regret writing that!!!!

Re: Carpet Belts
Vantage Premiums are sweet. Stahl's ugly whites are too but they do end up looking ugly but they last! AMF Pumpkin, man those things suck royally. End up putting in hold down brackets for the 6lb balls and that only helps for 6 months. Just a warning on the AMF Platinum, whichever side they track to, you get this major amount of fine dust all over the roller body and spring hinge. Carpet does appear to be tracking correctly however.

Re: Carpet Belts
I bought some Stahls ugly whites over a year ago. Took them to the car wash and cleaned them. Been in the machine for over a year now, and no problems at all. I do agree that the AMF Pumpkins suck, they dont last long. I also hate the Vantage rough tops, get a ball hung against the cushion and you get to buy the customer a new one. Just my 2 cents worth...Gene Simmons for president!!!

Re: Carpet Belts
I use the Vantage Premiums and the Ugly whites. I like the premiums with two caveats. First, they seem to tear in random places in the middle of the carpet. Second, we can only seem to get about 3 years out of them. Only had the ugly's for a year, but like what I've seen so far.My mom always said there was one crazy person on every bus,... but I could never find him.
