  • Checking Motor Capacitors

    Make sure you check capacitors with meter leads one way and then reverse leads. Found one motor capacitor read over 150Kohms one way and 0ohms the other way. This is in reference to AMF ohmmage test using 10Kohm range on Simpson multimeter.

    Only way to do it.

    I think PinMonkey is still doing that wet 2 finger's thing. That might explain ALOT. :p :p

          Knew a guy once that used a lamp cord to do this. He would plug the cord in and touch each terminal for a split second. Then he would lay a screwdriver across them to discharge the cap. Ruined a lot of screwdrivers and never knew if the cap was really functional!
