  • Deadwood

I have 82/90s and have a problem with deadwood where the sweep will ride over the pins if there is more than 2 pins in the gutter and they are close together.

I have set the sweep as low as possible and adjusted the sweep travel as well its not as bad as it was but i think it could be better

Sounds like flat gutter screws may be sticking up slightly. What happens is the pins catch on the screws and the sweep will hop over it on the way back and then push the pin forward on its way back to 2nd guard. It might not be the problem, but at least a good thing to check.

slop in the sweep arms allowing excess play. also too much slop/play with the slide bar will cause this also. if you havent changed to the 090 sweep bracket, may want to on that lane.

If this is Jason, then welcome,i know you will get help here.As i mentioned the lanes are probably only just in sanction and it may be worth trying the flat plate trick i suggested.

Hi Laurie Yes it is me, this was posted before i spoke with you in the week. Just to let you know since adjusting the cams after lowering the sweep to about inch of the pin deck everything seams to be fine
