  • 70's ring tube on a 30 pinwheel.

After receiving several out of round rings and a lot of the small brackets breaking on our magnetic clutch machines, we went to this for a couple of years. Which BTW works great.

Assemble the unit with ring tube brackets over flat spot on the PW. There is about 1/4" space between the brackets and the PW. Scrape the PW coating off under the bracket with a 1" wood chisel. Drill a 5/16" hole in the PW using the bracket holes as a guide. Using a small triangular file, square the holes in the PW to receive a carriage bolt. Put 3 or 4 3/8" SAE flat washers under the bracket (make sure it's a tight fit). Add your carriage bolts and you're good to go. For magnetic clutch just take the toggles off and reassemble.
