Cycle idea
We have 82-70's and frameworks. My idea is to piggy back off the alignment led on the camera trigger to trigger the ball cycle switch. First idea was a simple photocell monitor of the Led that would triger a relay and close the switch. Seems like it should work utilizing a basic circuit and eliminate the lite ball non-cycles. Any comments or suggestions?Failed safety course.Question #1:In case of fire what steps do you take? Apparently 'Friggin long ones!" is the wrong answer.Tags: None

Re: Cycle idea
I know of other people who have tied into the Brunswick scoring triggering to cycle machines. They were successful in doing it. But they had problems in the long run.
Just buy Bowltronics triggering and put it behind the sweep with no delay. You will not be sorry.

Re: Cycle idea
Do you know what the specific problems were? It would make a nice low-cost solution and eliminate the problem for now.Failed safety course.Question #1:In case of fire what steps do you take? Apparently 'Friggin long ones!" is the wrong answer.

Re: Cycle idea
The photocell idea would indeed be non-intrusive to the bruns electronics. Use the Schmidt trigger circuits in the old bruns telefouls!.

Re: Cycle idea
if it operates on DC (most circuits with LEDs do) then you want a high impedece resistor and a transistor to throw a relay to cycle the machine.
make sure you put a reverse bias diode on the relay coil so it dosent fry the transistor.Want your old pins collecting anywhere in the UK? email me on jezsmith@aol.com

Lafarge: What is the jumper on the Vps camera's? And how would it interface to an 82-70. Always looking to learn something new....Failed safety course.Question #1:In case of fire what steps do you take? Apparently 'Friggin long ones!" is the wrong answer.

Re: Cycle idea
well it went trough the ball detect and that was hooked up to the vps proccesor. the dip switches were on the camera itself. The only problem I saw with th system was no time delay so the ball detects had to be on the kick backs. They say that the **** rolls down hill but the smell always starts at the top.
