Probably a bad connection in the elco plug. I had one a while back with no 2nd ball light, it was a bad connection there. Give them a good eyeballing, if any pins look spread gently (and I do mean GENTLY) crimp them back together. Be careful doing this as you can break them rather easily
All I want in life is to turn wrenches and climb around pinsetters/pinspotters again :/

Check the small resistors/diodes in the motherboard between the #6 slot and the elco plug.

Check the Light bulb. Remember you start simple & work your way from there.

          Re: SS Chassis problem 3

If the problem moves with the chassis (I assume you've tried that), then it's likely to be the Elco plug pins as Rep suggested.

Elco plug is a pain in the ar$e. It was worse when we had 5 boards, simply because we had to change the chassis more often (and every time you unplug the elco plug, it losens the pins a bit). We ended up replacing the Elco plugs with cannon plugs (far better).

Note that those 20 diodes on the motherboard near the 4 board are for the pin lamps and sparemaker.

          Cheers,
          Andrew.
