• Old parts

Hey today I had a deck light go out. I found that it was the starter. When I pulled the old one I fount out that it cost 18 cents at a store that closed in 1969, someone told me.

Its really late and I thougt this was kind of cool to find a part like a light bulb that lasted 37 years. I got a chuckel out of this one and thout I would share.

    Any stories?

Parts made in the 60's were high quality.

    Technology sucks!

Found a Hershey bar wrapper tucked into the insulation of the curtain-wall. The cost on the wrapper was .10 cents.

I find fake fingernails, and inserts often. I have never had anyone ask me to replace a lost insert during a league, hmmmmm. I seem to find one or two every time we host a travel league. Mens travel league is in two weeks.

There was a Verd-a-Ray 75 watt bulb that we replaced in the kitchen store room that was lit for about twelve hours a day. Verd-a-Ray would replace any bulb that burned out within two years. We dated the bulbs as they were installed. That particular bulb was in for over 15 years. Not too shabby.
