          Re: 82/70 xli

AMF had some problems with motor brake noise and failure or coasting. Heard this was due to cheaper parts substitution by their supplier; problem rectified.

If you're upgrading in the center, be sure each machine has BOTH counter balance springs on.

If purchasing machines from AMF, I'd get rebuilt rather that "factory select/upgraded", which may have inherent mechanical problems since they are not rebuilt or reworked (they're just as-is).

We're aiming at upgrading ours this summer. AMF is considering a separate back-end portion of the XL/XL-i upgrade, so a center can benefit fron the new back end motors and pinwheel belt tensioners first, then get the chassis & electrical part later.

            Re: 82/70 xli

Being a Brunswick person this is my first AMF purchase but from what I have seen so far I would not hesitate to go with this setup in my next center at all. Very solid and not one chasis problem since installed, I went with the factory rebuilt.
As an owner I think it is easier to find mechanics for this machine.
I would take this machine over the A2 or any GSX
