  • Track Rail cover...???

    What do you use?
The same from top to bottom, or...
    070-011-440 Lower & 000-024-663 Upper
    Or
    088-001-231 Lower & 088-001-232 Upper

Customer is having a 16# house ball problem, has even tried rocket rails on a couple of pairs...still has issues. Anyone using the Lifelong "Adjustable Lower Support", think it might help. Any thoughts on any of the above?

Part of my concern to the customer is the fact that his cover is loose from top to bottom, not tightly fit at all...never seen it this free moving. Just want to show him some feedback from Bowl-Tech, to help him TRY something else.

    PBL or Kicker?

What is the ball lift spring length?

Have you added a spring and chain to add downward pressure to the lift?

PBL...Original Design with small extension spring and connecting rod. One problem is the pressure plates suck...holes wear easy, especially on pairs with the 16# ball issues.

        Re: Track Rail cover...???

I would get stahls or JCP thick rail covers, cut them in half and install them on the lower rails. AMF has a pressure plate kit to replace the thin pressure plate that came stock and also has the chain and turnbuckle. Part number is 612070013

          Re: Track Rail cover...???

What I have done is use AMF's new "gripper" up-rails. They are yellow in colour and work very, very, well! No need to purchase the full "gripper" PBL kit. Just purchase the Orange thinmbles, the Yellow rails and the black top rail. Install and away you go. Ball calls pratically disappear.
Even with a failing belt the balls will easily be lifted up the PBL.
I find that if the return piston is shot, then an additional spring added onto the m/c frame attached to the pbl helps also.

Rake sweeping out of time, and pin launching onto lane.

I work on some nice old Brunswick A-2 pin setters. Most issues I've come across haven't been to problematic to figure out. But being I can't seem to get it to recreate the issue...
