  • respot cell

After just recently getting a good look at 82-70's I was amazed that there appears to be no respot cells. Yet I see the term applied to 70's and 90's. Are the fingers on the table the respot cells, or are they grippers like on the other companies machines?
Old and obsolete? It's new to me!

    Re: respot cell

respot cell is the term given to all AMF machines.

the 70s and 90s have fingers which open and close in the open area you saw. This gives those machines more out-of-range area from side to side. They are all linked and work together unlike the 30s which have individual respot cells (which you know how they work). The 30s could be called grippers and not be to far from accurate. But to be official about it theyre also called respot cells.
