  • J1 error dode

    Hey everyone,

    I have 6 GS-X machines and 10 GS-98s.

I'm getting J1 error codes quite regularly on different lanes. It occurs on both the GS-X and the GS-98. Is there anything I can do to diminish the occurance of these? The cause 90% of the time is that the detector plates on pins 1-4-5-6 get caught on the wrong side of the little lip on the base of the spotting tongs and this makes it so the pin holders cannot go to their horizontal position. It seems to happen randomly and usualy doesn't have anything to do with pins getting stuck in the table etc...

I've checked the detector plates and they seem fine.

    Ideas?

Are the little lips on the spotting tongs worn down?

No, they seem fine to me. It happened again last night a couple of times on two different lanes.

Are the pivot pins that attached the pin detector plate to the pin holder worn?

Nope. They are all fine. I replace them if they show too much wear.

          *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
