sweep

hey guys

A have a lane that now and again the sweep doesnt go down checked solinoid an thats fine check wiring and that was fine changed 1/0 bored 3 times and it always been the same fault it can be doing this to the boards all the time what could it be

any help would be great thank

I'll start this off.

Is this a mechanical or electrical problem?

-is it mechanically not releasing the sweep, does the solenoid pull in but the sweep release doesn't let the sweep drop?

-or is the solenoid not pulling in at all?

You say fault so I'm assuming the ball detector works, it 'tries' to start the cycle, but the sweep does not drop and you get en error code.

cut back the wire to see if there was maybe a break in the wire to the solenoid so going to see if that works and will let u guys know but have changed 3 1/0 boards in the machjine and now its working fine so far touch wood lol

just thinking here what a was doing was hitting the plunger on the solenoid and it was releasing the sweep but the sweep was going down and just putting the same amount of pins on the deck as there was before it knocked them down so a thought it was stuck on a game tryed testing it but the sweep still wouldnt release so that why a changed the 1/0 borad and its work fine now was just wondering what it could be and y it took two 1/0 borads before it run ok its running so far so good now so fingers crossed but any tips would be great incase it happens again
