Except that mechanically it cannot do this without redesigning something since essentially the table holds the sweep up (through the sweep release, etc) if the table lowers, even if the sweep release is still holding the sweep, the sweep will go down too. For this to work the sweep release would have to be separate from the table.

One way this could work is if the sweep release was stationary in that the table still lifted it up, then handed it off to a stationary sweep release. This then would allow the table to be lowered but the sweep to remain up since the release would not be going down with the table.
