Shocks!
Question for the GSX vets out there. A few months ago we had a pivot bearing fail and of course the table came crashing down. It took the stroke limiter shock with it. The cylinder itself is fine but it broke the threaded portion of the shaft off. Was wondering if there were individual parts available for the shocks (as well as the fluid); or is the only option to buy a whole new shaft from Brunswick?GSX NoobTags: None

You can buy the parts of all three shock assemblies.
A quick e-mail to Brunswick should get you a break down sheet of part numbers.
Iso 32 or any other similar hydraulic oil will do fine.
Here is a rebuild guide.

Thanks for the info. Appears the shocks themselves are identical, with the exception of the rubber shock absorber on the stroke limiter. Doesn't appear to be a removable part either. Only other differences I see are in the hardware threaded onto the shaft, which shouldn't be an issue. Should just be able to order the two shafts (one with the rubber stopper and one without), correct? I'd hate to throw out an otherwise functional shock if I can get away with replacing the shaft.GSX Noob

I put the shock in vise and protect the shaft with rubber, old T-Band or other material so as not to bugger up the shaft and ruin seals, it takes a little effort but it will come off.
Part # for shock bumper is 99-070398-004For Sale, Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

There are a few differences between the three shocks. For example the pistons are all different (i.e. different part numbers), & only the stroke limiter shock has a spring in it.

*sigh* Hello friends..
I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…
I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

Turret clutch rebuild
At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...

Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
