  • random J2

I've got a machine that is acting funny. It will run for like 7 or more frames then will randomly give a J2 error code. I've made adjustments to it and the problem still happens. The pinion gear on the 7-pin side was replaced a month ago but this problem just started a week ago. Table is leavel back to front and side to side. Any answers?

Table could be bent up at the back row of holes.
For Sale, Parachute. Only used once, never opened, small stain.

If it is happening that often, i'd sit on the machine and run it in diagnostics to watch for binding, slippage or any other odd looking actions as the table goes through its motions.

Maybe some of the wiring got pinched while doing maintenance in the area there and so vibrations; movements are causing intermittent issues.

Check the # of links are the same from LH pinion to RH pinion. I changed a pinion once, and was out by 1 tooth on the sprocket, and it did the same thing

Check your J1 actuator. These can sometimes wear ridges in the plate which can jam and stop the table causing a J2 jam.

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
