  • Pin Holder Assembly not releasing Pin

Pin holder #4 will not release pin.
Swapped #1 and #4 and same result as above occurred.

What would be the voltage to activate a solenoid and where might I find a wire diagram for the R.H.Function Solenoid and Switches Cable Assembly?

    Thanks,
    Thom

Thanks Cyclonus, but I have the GSX service manual in both paper & PDF formats.

What I am looking for is a R.H. Side Function Solenoid and Switches Cable Assembly (pt #47-142620-000) wire diagram and/or the voltage to activate a red solenoid.

The voltage for the solenoids is 120VAC. Look in the parts book, if I recall correctly the exploded view shows where everything goes. it's not a schematic. Then again I'm not 100% sure what you need the RH function cable schematic for, I'd be looking into the Internal Table Harness first and checking continuity for the 4 pin switch and solenoid.

The solenoid voltage is 24VDC. I recommend that you replace the cable from the table to the NexGen box. I have seen the cables get stretched when setting new pins and break the wires inside the cable several times.

Beerman, thanks for the data and I’ve already ordered another cable.
I’ve been a computer geek since I made Mr. Bo Jangles dance on my TI99-4A and I’m curious about the Nexgen controller. I’ll just Ohm the cable after I replace it.

When you changed the cable don't throw it away.....
What I do is..... cut the last 6 -7 foot (2meters) and fit a new connector on the cable that comes from the nexgen box.
Make a new cable with 2 connectors of 6-7 (2meters) long, and connext that. I have put this cable in a plastic harnas, to prevent the cable to break.
I have found out that problems always happen in the last 2 meters, this part bends all the time.
              Hope this helps....

Just watch the cable, see where it bends a lot, and then splice a new wire in depending on where the problem is. The cable is documented well in the manual. When a wire bends too much, or it is getting stretched too hard, it will break inside of the insulation.

Be sure to check all wires while you are at it, I've found at least a couple each time I've had one break.
