Re: Brunswick B 10 semi automatic pinsetter

I plan on making a trip to Southport Lanes while I'm in Chicago in August. They have 4 handset B2's. I'm trying to build a halfscale pinsetter also.

Hey Curt, welcome back. How's the 1/2 scale pinsetter coming along?

Moose, I have a pdf manual of the B10 pinsetter that I'd be happy to send to you. Just shoot me your email address.

OMG, this would be a great refurbish project! Imagine opening a nostaljic Pizzaria w/ old time bowling lanes. I heard the one in Chicago is awesome.

The B10's that were on Ebay were actually in Red Oak, Tx just south of Dallas. Friend and I went and took a look at them. The guy took these out of a church's basement in Hillsboro, TX. Had the original Brunswick Centennial Masking Units and Brunswick Safe T Ball Return lifts. Not sure if friend won the auction or not.

they also still appeared to have the aluminum part of the frame. We had some B-10s years ago out in the shed and I tried to put one together only to find that the 2 "a"s that supported the gearbox or motor, dont remember which, were all gone. They were aluminum and must of went to recycle. I hope your friend got the B-10s. I hate to see them go to the scrap.

Mike, he won the auction either for himself or his employer.

Re: Brunswick B 10 semi automatic pinsetter

There are two B 10s in Salem, Oregon at the Oregon School for the Blind, still in operation. The school is set to close, so they might be available for sale by the state. They have a motor that runs continually and when a string is pulled it engages to lower the pin deck down. The pin deck looks just like my B-1s that I have. Everything on the machine looks the same except for the motor. The B-1 has a bar to lower the pin deck down.
