  • Sweeping spares

I have a machine that will reset before throwing second ball. I have eliminated the scoring system and all electronics what I have seen is that when the turret releases the pins into the deck on second ball the machine will cycle. I run 19 pins in this machine so if you gutter on first ball it will let you throw the spare ball.

Check 180 interlock adjustment, a little to much pressure on link can cause this if pins drop into deck at just the right time.

Yes. Sounds like it's only happening when the long link is pushed back, latches, and turns the interlock bar. Put the machine in 2nd ball & lock the pin gate, then cycle it & let it stop at 180. Then take a look at how much of the bottom of the slot in the 180 interlock link on the GB is exposed behind the washer in front of it when the machine is waiting for pins. You should see a little bit of that slot still. If not, rotate your interlock bar counter clockwise (as per adjustment in manual).

You might also have a problem with the 180 standing pins link that comes out of the bottom of the detector and into the bottom of the actuator link. It might have fallen out underneath the detector where you can't normally see it. I've had this happen on a few machines with what you describe.

I left out an important bit by accident:

Do the above with the deck empty & the turret full with the 5-chute in front of the snubber. This way you can most conveniently push a pin over the snubber & let it drop through the center chute, then as the turret indexes the 5 pin & moves the interlock link into "full deck signal" position (it slightly turns to the left & moves upwardly) you can see if there's enough difference between the 2 positions of the 180 interlock link (its empty deck position vs. its full deck position) & determine if it even needs adjustment at all.

          I second that.
