  • ball accelerator cutout modification...

I am wondering what the dimensions are for cutting out a hole for the pins to fall through when they travel into the accelerator pan? I searched on the archives for 20 minutes and couldn't find it. Please tell me if you know.
The older the part, the STRONGER it is.

    nirvana:
The dimensions are 5 3/4" wide by 16 3/4" long. Use a hole saw at each corner and cut to them, this will prevent stress cracks from starting at the corners. A square cut will most certainly result in cracking. Start the cut 18" in from the end the ball enters. This is a great project and we owe thanks to Dave Dirrito from Brunswick for coming up with it.

We have 6 spare accelerator tracks and have been planning to incorporate this mod with them and convert all 50 lanes this way. Time alotted, and limited help, has prevented this endevour unfortunatly.

Member PJ has embarqued on this project, however, and has achieved great results thus far.

I did all 30 a couple years ago when we put in ball-walls on all 30. The gutter caps went in so hard, I knew it was going to be a nightmare if we didn't. This is a really good time to go through your rear mounting brackets and weld up cracks... Anyone here want to subcontract reaching between the kickbacks and fishing out pins?

I work on some nice old Brunswick A-2 pin setters. Most issues I've come across haven't been to problematic to figure out. But being I can't seem to get it to recreate the issue...

          Strange sweep problem
