Had 2 machines that liked to pop the 3.2amp fuses.Found that it was a pinched booster power cable(after looking at other things first).In the first bank of 8 lanes.Remove cable,fix, all ok.Just goes to show ya...look at some simple things or stupid things first.It was one lane popping then other,back and forth.But ya tell counter to use 1 AND 2 so #1 booster works but NOOOOO,they have to use lane 1 by itself and i call them to say...Hello Stupid...remember what i said! DUH! Oh they forgot.Must be tough sitting on the counter stools doing much of nothing.

But unfortunately, even the best of us aren't immuned to that sort of thing... Rock-n-Bowl a couple weeks back, I've got a policy, if they hit the rake, machine's off for 5 minutes. Doesn't get 'em to behave any better, but it keeps the machine off for a while, at least [img]/content/btubb/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img] Anyway, I've got a pair with an occasional open somewhere, so you need both machines on to run the power lift up front. Occasionally...
So, they hit the rake on 12... it gets shut off... One kid comes up and asks me if he could get his ball back, so he can bowl on 11. I say "Nope, you can get it when I turn the machine back on." Didn't realize he meant none of ~11's~ balls were coming back, I thought he wanted the one still stuck to the rake! So, I turn the machine back on eventually, and get a ball call over there... That's when I realize there's like 2 dozen balls in the subway... Yeah, accel shoots one through, marbles through all of 'em, and sends one up the lifts... That was a long night... Wasn't till a couple days later, telling pinchaser of the story... he asks "Did 12 get shut off?" That's about the time it all dawned on me... I used to also have that problem of people messing around and hitting the rake.
Now granted the sweep will come down sometimes unexpectally but when I KNEW they were messing around I would bring up the parts book and show them how much a rake arm assembly costs.
