  • mag clutch problem

    jap a2 if that makes any difference. im having a machine that the mag clutch is not engaging the pulley. changed clutch, machine ran for approx 2 hrs and did it again. im now thinking i have a bad microswitch on the cross conveyor. anyone think the pulley may be bad or anything else i may be missing?

    bad rectifier maybe

      Get a voltage reading on the PLUG of the clutch, (without the cover on) plugged in. See if you get your 90v DC approx. If not, I'd move to the output from the rectifier and check the reading there. That will point you in the direction of the problem; the rectifier or switch.

        ended up replacing the rectifier. have 92v going out to clutch, running fine as of now. keeping fingers crossed.
