  • Deck Rollers

Ok here's another issue I have been noticing lately.

Seems that the newer black deck rollers tend to swell in a short amount of time after being put into use. As the older ones do not. What's up with that, and is there a better black roller out there that won't swell.

I like the hard black rollers from Quality. Best in my opinion.

The quality urethane rollers come with a higher price than the rubber ones....but they will definantly outlast the rubber rollers because of the fact that they do not swell up and split.

So it's safe to assume that if I go with the urethane, I'll be good to go. Had I known of this issue earlier, I would have been purchasing those instead.

I mean if they wind up swelling up after a year, what's the point in buying them. I guess this is where you get what you pay for.

I feel the urethane ones are rough on the scissor deck...

Also louder when pins fall into them

I have not seen the new rubber ones swell... How are you seeing that ?Crack maybe but not swell

It sure looks bigger in the picture though!

Some of the jap rollers would swell enough to interfere with the 2 allen screws holding to bracket to the deck. If thats not the case here, I'd run them.

I have not seen it with the Brunswicks, now the Brunswick rubber pit mounts are another story.
