  • Bent Rake Arms

I replaced a broken rake arm today with a used one I had in back. Turned out to be bent so bad that it catches on the 7 pin side of the deck. Has anyone been successful in try to straightening these out? And how. Thanks

Don did you check the shims on each side?
If that's good, I use a BFPB! I have a 5 foot long 15lb bar. Getting it wedged in the right place is the tricky part.

Got it done!! took crow bar and wedged it between the rake arm and rake stop on frame, then took 2x4 and wegded it between the frame on 10 pin side and rake arm on 7 pin side. Then applied a lot of heat with a torch. 1/2 hour later, I got the rake arm away from the deck. And sweeping good, maybe alittle to far to the left Thanks to both Lonnies for the help!!
