Put in a new 1to1 today, found out D.J. switch was faulty.
Everything went in pretty smoothly, gears lined up and detector seemed to be on time.
But, when I started running it through the deck cable got tight and blacked out the machine. It is reacting a little eratic. Wondering if detector is off or I'm missing an adjustment? (butterfly)
The detector won't be able to cause the cable to get tight enough to cause a blackout. Need to find out why the cable is too tight. You might even try taking it off and running it without the cable on just to see if there are any other issues like the rake not sweeping properly. Let us know what you find...

Steve, when I tried to back up the machine the deck cable would not loosen up,it was really tight so I cut the cable to relieve the pressure. I'm going in with a fresh head today, so any advice would be great.
Thanks
I'll check that.
And thank you for your instructions. I've changed 4 1to1's in a friends center and this will be the second one in my center plus a 4to1 using your instructions.
I couldn't get the deck cable on at 85.
If you have a deck chute bolt that has came loose or something else in the deck itself it could cause it and you mentioned your blackout switch wasnt working before you changed the 1-1

ITS NOT HOW MUCH YOU KNOW ITS HOW MUCH YOU CARE!!!!!
This is a new one for me.
The deck was binding up. I kept pulling on the cable till I finally noticed it.
When I took off my scissor cable I had loosened it up to make it easier to slide on and off. It left the toggle lever (where the lower scissor cable connects to) in a position where the nut on the back of the deck drive pulley roller was binding against it. The toggle lever cracked, so I had to replace that too. After replacing that, the machine seemed to run real smooth (knock on wood). Everything is working for the moment.
Thanks for your help.

Had that happen once before. Like you, it took a while to pin-point it.
Good morning, I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...
Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
