Deck jam tube

Lane 8 deck jam tube engages every time you reset it
i have adjusted the micro switch aand replaced tthe cable and tube
it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions The machine is Brunswick A2 Japanese pinsetter

Not sure what you mean by this. Is the pin is being pulled down and opening the microswitch and shutting off the machine? You said you changed the tube. Does it have both springs in it. Are all the deck cables on. Check the back one, it's hard to see without climbing back there. Check all your bucket bolts and spotting finger bolts. They could be jamming the deck if they came loose and are hanging down. Let us know what you find.

Had a machine couple years ago had the same problem. Turned out to be GB mounting bracket bolted around rake crank arm to main frame broke where bolted to the main frame. Worth a look.

Yes. It does have both springs, I'll check to see if it jamming somewhere on the fingers

The machine will stay on at 0 and when it sets a new set of pins down but that's it then it cycles and shuts off

At what dregree is it shutting off? Right after 180 degrees when the deck shifts? Or after 270 degrees on its way back up after setting them?

if its blacking out when the deck is raising, watch for the large pin in the ears of the deck lift shaft working its way out of the right towards the turret frame. It could be contacting the turret frame on the way up and slightly raising it causing the blackout.....its happened to me this way.

Right after 0 I think it might be the deck guide rollers are binding

If its happening right after zero, compare the tube assembly and springs inside them with other lanes to see if there is a difference. if it looks the same, maybe one of the springs inside is broken?

Also maybe the torsion spring on the deck is wound too tight. At 270 degrees with the deck down and empy, pull on the deck cable to feel the amount of torsion in the spring and compare it to other lanes. also feel for some kind of binding in the movement of the deck
