  • Great ending to a perfect day

So I was at the home stretch of an 18 hour workday, only an hour left before we closed for Easter Sunday. I get called over to 25 because the C-Mechanic couldnt figure out a stop. I run over, and apparently the machine wasnt sweeping pins. Rake sweep hook was so low, that the block on 4-1 was contacting the front of it and compressing. So I jump down and take a peek in the detector, and the hook selector bearing was at a 45* angle. It was actually hitting the detector drive gear and making the sweep hook jiggle up and down. SO first thing I do, thanks to you guys, is check the link and roll pins in the sweep hook, and just as I thought, they were all worn out. Each hole was twice as wide as it was supposed to be. Happy ending, everything went smoothly, so I was just finishing adjustments when the front desk told me it was closing time. Just wanted to share a story, and let you guys know I appreciate the advice you give on the boards, it might be the only reason I knew what I was doing lol.
