  • Pre-formed urethane pit cushion cover...

I received a cover...12-252308...some time back from Brunswick only to find that the cover was blotchy looking and had a rough texture to it. I returned it with no problems from Brunswick. Later, I wondered if the issue was a lone fluke or if it could be something that we have discussed here a few times in the past with the cover leaving scuff marks on the bowling balls. So I called Brunswick to see if they had found anything or if there was an issue. I spoke with our very own Dave Dirito about the issue and he is very interested in hearing from anybody that has experienced this issue with this style cover. Not the one that is flat and must be held on with wire tyes...but the one that is already formed to fit around the pit cushion and could stay on without the wire tyes...I personally do not use them on all of the covers as most fit tight and do not need the tyes.

If you have seen any issues in the past...feel free to post here and Dave will see the post. All information will no doubt be used to try and find any possible patterns.

    Thanks guys...

We recently experienced this exact same issue at a customer of mine in Lawton, Ok. At first I thought "No Way would a pit cushion cover cause this"! I was wrong. The customer had no problem returning these for credit however, they have not yet received replacements.

Steve, I checked my notes and Lawton worksheets and sorry, but it appears that it was not the Brunswick Urethane that made these marks in Lawton rather the Quality 12-2535. The marks are identical to those in the link you posted.
We had purchased these about 4 maybe 5 months ago just before they re-opened this center.

          *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
