  • Taking off my rake lift cam issue

Hey guys, I have yet another issue I could use some help on. So I'm in the process of changing out my moving deck cams key gate. But in the process, I'm having a hard time getting the rake cam off. The problem being, I can't seem to find the right degree to put the machine in. Either the crank arm is in the way, or the link from the crank arm to the rake hook is in the way, which of course I can take off if it's not holding the rake back. Which I did, but then the higher parts of the rake can we're pointing downward, which ended up hitting the moving deck/scissor cable pulleys. No matter what degree the machine is in, there seems to be something blocking something.

90 degrees with crank link removed from crank arm.

Just as Roscoe said. Then remove the rake lift link from the rake cam follower and let the rake rest on the lane. Raise the lift link up out of the way and let it rest against the rake shafts or remove it from the "C" lever all together. Tilt the Rake Cam Follower arm forward away from the cam. Now your clear to remove your (model "A") rake cam.
