  • Not cycling, solenoid not moving at all

I have a lane that will not cycle, I've taken the meter to the resetting solenoid and got 50 vac, neither the push button on the switch box or the customer reset is actuating the solenoid. What should I be looking for? I'm a newbie and I'm still kinda shaky when it comes to the electrical stuff

The reset buttens are low voltage

Unplug the cycle solenoid and take a voltage reading at the receptacle in the wire channel while pushing the reset button at the back of the wire channel. If you have high voltage at the receptacle them the problem is either in the wires going to the solenoid or the solenoid is bad. Or swap solenoids with a working one to see if the solenoid is the problem. To be safe unplug the motor so the machine is not running while you are checking it.

Remember to not measure to ground when checking voltage on our machines...the readings can be misleading.

What about a bind in the linkage, or maybe the wrong spring on the starter belcrank that has to much tention causing the link to not rise.

              Well this is a first.

We all from time to time have one of those “wow I’ve never seen THAT before” moments. Well today was one of those for me when my night tech texts me to say lane 16 is out...
