The new product from Brunswick is an excellent part and will work in any make of the Brunswick A/A-2/Jetback. It is completely universal. There is a setup you can use from Grainger if you wanted to go that route...either is a great upgrade to the electrical system.

I have not seen the instructions but I am quite sure there are instructions that will allow them to be installed into a Japanese machine. If there are no instructions for it...get back with us and we will guide you through the install. Very simple to do.

well i finally got the relay and the instructions are for american standard and universal.... i tried to make sense of it but there are wires in my boxes that are not labeled and im confused on the jumper as well...... so i drew a pretty lil picture of our contact and then made up a list of connections.. the relay i went with is the one from Brunswick.

here is our current wiring set up and its the same all across the house

coil A- wired to cannon plug for accellerator

coil B- wired to ts-2 and jumped to conn #3

conn #1- wire H-1 to tranformer
              wire #7 to ts-1 H

conn #2- wire #33 to thermal overload

conn #3- jumped to coil B

conn #4- wired to #14 on time delay
              wired to ts2-1
              jumped to conn # 5

              conn #5- jumped to conn # 4

conn # 6- is wired to a 3 pin cannon plug called MC-3.. we do not use this connection...

the new relay has connections numbered 1-11 how would i hook this bad boy up? remember the picture is of our current setup.

Place this wire on the connection right below the A of your new relay. I do not know how these are numbered on your base but they should be numbered similar to a relay base you could get from Grainger. I am going to use this image as sort of a guideline for you to follow as this should give you the idea. 7 would be the connection I am using.

Place these wires on #5 of your new relay...except for the jumper wire. Remove it and throw it away. It is not used on your setup.

This wire was thrown away in the previous step

This wire is not used here in the US...you can cut this wire off of the cannon plug if you wish...or tape it off. It makes no difference as you do not use it.

Again...I do not know how your new relay base is laid out but it should be similar to the above picture. Since yours is numbered 1-11 and the one I am showing is numbered 1-9 along with an A and B...you will need to match up your numbers to the above image. If you would post a picture of the relay base with the numbers being visible, I can match it exactly for you.

Found what I was looking for...

A of your old relay goes to 10 of the new relay
B of your old relay goes to 11 of the new relay
1 of the old relay goes to 7 of the new relay
2 of the old relay goes to 4 of the new relay
3 of the old relay goes to 6 of the new relay
4 of the old relay goes to 9 of the new relay
13 and 14 of the old relay are still no longer needed so eliminate those wires.

Yep...make it go away. It does nothing.

I have built a tester for the MP Chassis for the 82-70 machines. Instead of using the cam switches
I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...
